In this month’s newsletter, I’m excited to share new MMS enhancements, upcoming roadmap changes, and actions your region can take to prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Next season enhancements roadmap
We’ve been hard at work planning for next season and look forward to providing these enhancements:
To ensure the right people have access to your organization’s information, permissions will require a background check and SafeSport.
To provide your region more control, you’ll be able to change the status of a club so they either can or cannot access the USA Volleyball tab in their account.
To give you a more complete picture of your member clubs and its members, next season you will be able to view administrators and their roles within your club list view.
You, and your member organizations, have multiple opportunities to harness the excitement and power of the Olympics through your SportsEngine.com directory listing.
During the Olympics, all traffic from the NBCOlympics.com/volleyball page will be directed to SportsEngine.com/volleyball, where families will learn more about the sport and search for local programs. USA Volleyball regions and clubs will also be promoted on that page.
Here are a few quick actions you can take to capitalize on the excitement of the Olympics:

Recent MMS Enhancements
In partnership with USA Volleyball, there are a few updates to the MMS we think you will enjoy, stay tuned for more enhancements and updates at May Meetings. In the meantime, check ‘em out below:
Verified information is now included within the eligibility API to ensure the correct membership details are being passed on to third party event systems, like AES.
This helps to reduce the number of members in event systems being ineligible due to their information not matching up with verified information on the region membership.
We are thrilled to highlight Smart Memberships from our latest product release, which enhances the membership purchase and club assignment process for your region and clubs. If you missed that update, check out last month’s newsletter.
